Frosty’s Auto Freak was created by crossing the notorious Frosty’s Purple Freak with an outstanding phenotype from Guavalato Auto by James Loud – one of the most terpene-rich autoflowering cultivars of its kind. The goal: to combine the recessive mutant traits of the Purple Freak with autoflowering genetics while maximising purple colouration and terpene intensity. After several generations of targeted breeding, Frosty’s Auto Freak is now consistently freaky, autoflowering and purple.

Aroma Profile

The bouquet is rich and exceptionally intense: berries, sweetness, acidity and a distinctive, fleshy-rotten funk. The sweet berry notes of Frosty’s Purple Freak are further amplified by the fruity-rotten meat aromas of the Guavalato Auto parent. The terpenes are heat-resistant and remain fully intact in dried flowers. A carbon filter is strongly recommended for indoor cultivation.

Rare Sesquiterpene Profile

Laboratory analyses reveal unusually high levels of β-Cedrene and Guaiol – woody sesquiterpenes that typically appear only in trace amounts in commercial strains. This is complemented by a complex spectrum of resinous, fruity and frankincense-like aromatic compounds. This profile makes the FAF one of the rarest terpene expressions in contemporary cannabis genetics.

Growth Characteristics

Mutant strains almost always grow more slowly during the first weeks of the vegetative phase – targeted vitality selection across multiple generations has significantly improved this. Once seedlings are 2–3 weeks old, growth picks up considerably. Plants begin flowering after 5–6 weeks. The FAF is a very light feeder – most mild soil mixes contain sufficient nutrients to reach harvest without additional fertiliser.

In outdoor cultivation, many plants develop looser buds in humid conditions; indoors, Frosty’s Auto Freak often produces surprisingly dense buds for an autoflowering strain. In any growing environment, expect heavy trichome coverage and large, aroma-rich resin glands.
