Beginnings and origin of the genetics
The founders have lived in 18 countries and travelled through traditional cannabis regions. The landraces and hybrids they collected there formed the gene pool on which Mandala’s breeding is built. They collected the Bhutanese landraces themselves in the wild in the Himalaya.
Approach
Mandala developed its own methods for breeding and seed production. The focus is on plant health, hybrid vigour and a balanced effect. By its own account, Mandala only releases strains the founders grow and use themselves, and it does not follow trends.
Knowledge for growers
The founders have written a great deal about cultivation and botany and have questioned common growing myths. Their lines are bred for good results in soil with little fertiliser, without complicated feeding schedules.
