Independence as a Core Value – Breeding as a Way of Life
Like many, I first encountered cannabis through the black market. But it quickly became clear: anonymous products and questionable quality didn’t meet my standards. Driven by the desire for high-quality, traceable seeds, I began growing my own.
Cannabis prohibition has shaped my relationship with the plant. The limited availability of quality genetics made it clear early on how crucial independence, genetic diversity, and equitable access really are.
Focus on Landraces – Preserving Genetic Heritage
Over time, preserving original landraces became a central focus of my work. Many of these precious genetic lines are already lost – conserving and passing them on is now a core pillar of my breeding philosophy.
Today, my work revolves around the propagation, archiving, and sharing of rare landraces. I see this not just as a botanical mission, but as a responsibility to future generations.
Nature-Based Breeding – Open Field, Closed Loops & Climate Resilience
All my breeding is done outdoors – in natural conditions that promote climate-adapted, resilient plants. I work within a closed-loop system rooted in regenerative agriculture:
- Using my own soil, compost, and rainwater
- Natural pest control and soil care
- Supporting the ecosystem through low-impact cultivation
Community as a Foundation – Gratitude to Fellow Keepers
While many processes are done solo, I’m part of a global network of breeders, gardeners, and seed savers who work passionately to preserve genetic diversity.
Special thanks to those who grow my seeds, share their experiences – and care for the often overlooked male plants. Their preservation is essential for long-term, stable genetics.
Credit is also due to traditional cultivators around the world who protect original lines from overbreeding and commercialization.
Philosophy – Biodiversity Thrives in Many Small Gardens
With roots in environmental education and a systemic perspective, I see my work not as isolated, but part of a greater whole. I believe in authentic diversity – and that it grows in many small gardens, through time, care, and respect for all living things.
Seeds with Soul – For Today and Tomorrow
My goal is to provide authentic, stable seeds – strains with stories, adapted to climate, soil, and culture. Beyond industrial standards, permAculture Seeds stands for vitality, resilience, and empowerment.
Let’s work together to preserve genetic diversity – for the future of the plant, our gardens, and a free cannabis culture.
