Baglung Love Rush F1 – Early Sativa Power for Outdoor Growing in Germany

Baglung Love Rush F1 is a true F1 hybrid built from two pure outdoor lines: Baglung Nepal 2024 × Ultra Early Love F6. This project grew out of targeted selection and years of experience – with one goal in mind: to create an early-maturing, robust, and aromatically complex outdoor sativa that delivers reliable results even in northern latitudes.

Parent Plants

• Baglung Nepal 2024: A lively, colorful, and exceptionally resilient landrace from the Nepalese highlands. It shows very high mold resistance, produces oily resin, and releases a fruity-spicy aroma reminiscent of berries, ripe fruit, bubblegum, and spices. Its harvest window begins in mid-September – ideal for Central and Northern European outdoor conditions.
• Ultra Early Love F6: A proven outdoor sativa line that stands out thanks to its light-driven early flowering around the summer solstice. This trait is passed on dominantly and enables reliable ripening even in sativa-dominant crosses in northern climates. Through the careful selection work of @arnold over many years, this line has become a valuable foundation of modern outdoor genetics.

Growth & Structure

Baglung Love Rush F1 shows classic F1 vigor – powerful growth, stable structure, high resilience. With early sowing, outdoor plants reach 3 to 4 meters in height and deliver high-quality yields from mid-September to early October.

In trial runs so far, three main phenotypes have emerged, which further split into several sub-phenotypes and intermediate forms

Aroma Profile

The aroma profile of Baglung Love Rush F1 is lively and fruity, with bright citrus and grapefruit notes meeting ripe berries, sweet fruit, and delicate spicy undertones. The result is a complex, refreshing overall impression with the unmistakable character of a mountain sativa – light, aromatic, and energetic.

Important Germination Notice – Please Read Carefully

Our seeds are extremely light-sensitive. We therefore strongly recommend germinating them exclusively under the natural light cycle. Even if your fingers are itching to get started in spring – be patient and don’t start the seeds before early May.

For germination, we recommend the following methods:

• Direct sowing: Sow directly at the final outdoor location
• Small greenhouse propagation: On a windowsill (using natural daylight!) or sheltered outdoors

Why Not Indoor Pre-Growing Under Artificial Light?

We strongly advise against any indoor pre-growing under artificial light. The reason lies in the high light sensitivity of our genetics:

• Indoor, seedlings are typically lit on an 18- to 20-hour light cycle
• The natural light cycle, however, has not yet reached its maximum in spring – outdoors, 18 to 20 hours of daylight are never reached
• When plants are moved from the long artificial light cycle into the significantly shorter natural outdoor cycle, they respond to this abrupt shortening by forming flowering hormones

Important to understand: This reaction is not an indication of semi-autoflowering or autoflowering genetics, nor of any such introgression – it is simply the result of the pronounced light sensitivity of our lines. This very sensitivity is the actual goal outdoors: shortly after the longest days of the year (summer solstice), the plants reliably respond to the decreasing day length and initiate flowering.

A plant that already shows flowers in spring, however, will not properly recover from this stress and will stay small – effectively wiping out the entire yield.

If the seeds are instead germinated consistently under the natural light cycle, they develop into vigorous outdoor plants that, with ideal care, easily reach 2 meters – more likely 3 to 4 meters – in height, provided nothing artificially holds them back.

Cultivation & Yield

Baglung Love Rush F1 was specifically developed for outdoor cultivation in Central European latitudes. It impresses with high mold resistance, vitality, and structural stability. The harvest window runs from mid-September to early October and delivers stable, high-quality yields. Most plants will already be fully ripe by mid-September,

A Note on the Photos

The plants shown in the photos come from a dedicated seed run. They were sown late in the season, planted very densely, and lollipopped (side branches removed) in their young stages to allow even main-stem development and targeted pollination. As a result, they show medium-tall, slender structures (“stilts”) and fully pollinated buds. Under normal conditions, they develop into clearly larger, more branched plants with full bud structure.
