Genetics & Origin

Powered Thai F3 is the result of several selection generations by ATAO Seeds, who combined two genetically distinct sativa lines from Southeast Asia and Africa for this project.

TRSC Red Thai (The Real Seed Company) is a pure sativa landrace from Northeast Thailand (Isaan) and Laos. It ranks among the rarest Thai lines available in seed form and is known for its long red pistils on dark calyxes, its complex aroma profile of tobacco, chocolate, coffee and musk, as well as its exceptional vigour. This line is believed to be related to the historic “Sa Daeng” – the Red Ganja of the 1970s.

Afropips Power Malawi is an F1 hybrid from Afropips Seeds, crossing Malawi Gold IBL with Pure Power Plant IBL. Malawi Gold is an internationally recognised, purely psychoactive African sativa landrace from the Nkhotakota district of Malawi with a pronounced spicy aroma profile. Pure Power Plant – a Durban Poison-based line crossed with White Widow – contributes vigorous growth, a dominant main cola and pronounced hybrid vigour. Power Malawi is renowned for its high mould resistance and fast, high-yielding growth.

Over three selection generations, ATAO Seeds has stabilised both lines for aroma, structure and vitality without narrowing their genetic diversity. This makes Powered Thai F3 an exceptional starting point for breeding projects involving Asian-African sativa genetics.

Cultivation

Powered Thai F3 develops large, richly branched plants with above-average yields – a trait largely contributed by the Power Malawi line. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation; due to the long flowering time, a warm climate is recommended for outdoor grows.
