Anyone who germinates several varieties at once knows the problem: improvised little dishes, damp kitchen paper and, in the end, the question of which seed actually belongs to which variety. The Germination Tray Set solves this by bundling every step of propagation into one coordinated kit – from the controlled germination environment and clear labelling to the gentle transplanting of the germinated seeds into the growing medium.

The components in detail

Germination tray with 8 compartments: The heart of the set. The eight separate compartments let you propagate different varieties at the same time and kept apart, so nothing gets mixed up. The tray creates an evenly moist environment that promotes germination and – like the entire set – is reusable.

Seed-Zange: As soon as the seeds have germinated, the trickiest moment arrives: transplanting into the growing medium. The included Seed-Zange is made exactly for this. It combines a planting dibber for preparing the planting hole and planting tweezers in one tool. A recess at the gripping tips – the root notch – ensures that only the seed coat is held while the delicate root stays free.

3× filters: The filter inserts ensure an even moisture level in the tray and can be repurchased when needed.

Film marker & seed data sheet film: With the wipe-off film marker you label the included data sheet and keep track at all times of which variety is germinating in which compartment and when it was set up.

How it works

1. Prepare: Fit the germination tray with a filter and moisten it evenly.
2. Insert & label: Fill one compartment per variety and label the data sheet with the film marker.
3. Germinate: Place the tray in a warm spot until the seeds form their root.
4. Transplant: Use the Seed-Zange to make a planting hole and transfer the germinated seed into the growing medium while protecting the root.
