Mandala Seeds – Satori

What is Satori?

Mandala bred Satori from Nepalese landrace genetics and calls it its signature strain. In Zen Buddhism the name means awakening. The regular seeds are well suited to selecting your own mother plants and to breeding work.

Family tree

Growing: what to expect

Flowering takes 65 to 75 days, with the outdoor harvest in October. Despite the large leaves, the slim structure fits narrow rows and SOG. Mandala advises against defoliation, because the leaves feed the plant efficiently.

In good soil and a large enough pot, Satori needs very little feeding, and a moderate EC is enough in hydro. Mandala reports good resistance to spider mites and mould and high heat tolerance for small, warm grow rooms. The firm side branches make good cuttings.

• Indoors: 550–600 g/m² dry yield in organic soil (breeder’s figure)
• Outdoors in the ground: 850–1,200 g per plant
• Keep the resinous sugar leaves: Mandala compares the hash made from them to Nepalese temple balls

Aroma

Sweet and fruity notes blend with spice, joined by incense and earthy tones. Mandala also mentions a bubblegum phenotype. According to the breeder’s lab analysis, myrcene dominates, alongside notably high levels of alpha- and beta-pinene.

Effect

The breeder states 23–28% THC. The high is strongly cerebral yet stays clear, and Mandala describes it as creative, focused and euphoric. The effect lasts for hours.

Who it’s for

Satori suits sativa connoisseurs who value the quality of the high over raw potency. For growers looking for a tough sativa of manageable height, it is a proven classic.
