Lineage

The mother line originates from a legendary Oaxacan Gold from Mexico, preserved in pure form since 1979. The father is a Baglung Nepali – a pure landrace sativa from the highland regions of Nepal, adapted to European climate conditions via Blue Hemp and subsequently further selected in Denmark.

This reproduction was carried out outdoors in Holland to further adapt it to northern latitudes.

Growth & Cultivation

The plants show remarkable uniformity and could almost pass as clones. Purple Satellite is excellently suited for northern latitudes and impresses with its early flowering initiation as well as excellent resistance to mold, mildew and cool weather. The strain finishes flowering when the autumn sun is still strong enough for abundant trichome production.

Aroma & Taste

During late flowering, an intense cherry scent develops that fills the surroundings. After harvest, a complex bouquet of pine, incense and cedarwood with a hint of berries unfolds – influences from the Nepalese genetics. The smoke is exceptionally smooth and pleasant.

Special Features

Almost all phenotypes develop striking pink to magenta pistils and purple calyxes – even without cold exposure. The dense resin production and vibrant colors make Purple Satellite a visual highlight as well.
