TouchMa UEL – Himalayan Early Bloomer with Climate Resistance
TouchMa UEL – When rugged Himalayan genetics meet ultra-early flowering: 5 generations of German climate adaptation united with the legendary Ultra Early Love F6. The result? A sativa that finishes in mid-September, loves the cold, and laughs at mold. Perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to wait shivering until October. Touch my Ultra Early Love – and discover what happens when landrace breeding meets the realities of German outdoor growing.
Breeding Concept – Reinforcement Through Backcross
This breeding design pursues clear objectives:
- Reinforcement of early flowering: Ultra Early Love contributes light-driven, reliable flowering initiation
- Preservation of climate adaptation: Created and selected for the German climate
- Hybrid vigor: Baglung Love Rush F1 contributes vitality, growth power, and naturally thicker buds
- Stabilization of outdoor performance: Backcross onto a proven keeper female cements reliability
The Parent Lines in Detail
Baglung Nepal Line B – 5 Generations of Climate Adaptation
The 2024 keeper female represents the current peak of five years of selection work. Starting from the original Baglung Nepalese landrace genetics (Line A, 2016 – the first reproduction in Germany, descended from seeds of the first reproduction by Baldmonkey out of original BlueHemp packs), selection was consistently focused on the following traits:
- Early maturity: Reliable finish from mid-September to early October
- Cold resistance: Tolerates cool autumn nights and temperature swings
- Mold resistance: Robust bud structure for damp German autumn conditions
- Characteristic Himalayan traits: Pink-to-violet color development at cooler night temperatures
- Aroma profile: Fruity-berry with bubblegum notes and earthy, hashy undertones
This line originally hails from the Baglung region in the Nepalese Himalayas and has been preserved by Blue Hemp since the 1980s, adapted to Central European conditions. The 5 years of continued selection at Bunkerlinge refined these traits specifically for German outdoor climates beyond the 50th parallel.
Ultra Early Love F6 – Reliable Early-Flowering Genetics
Ultra Early Love by Reeferman is a line selected over many years for sativa traits and outdoor suitability. Originally derived from G-13 (indica clone) × Santa Marta Colombian Gold (sativa landrace), it now shows distinctly sativa-dominant characteristics thanks to years of selection.
What Ultra Early Love brings to this cross:
- Light-driven early flowering: Reliable flowering initiation regardless of extreme weather conditions
- Compact outdoor performance: Manageable plant height despite sativa dominance
- Stability: Proven genetics for European outdoor conditions
- Sativa character: Clarity and liveliness despite the indica portion in the pedigree

Why This Backcross? The Breeding Logic
The name TouchMa UEL is a tongue-in-cheek nod to its genetic makeup: “Touch my Ultra Early Love” – and that’s exactly what this backcross does by crossing in Baglung Love Rush F1.
This strategy delivers several advantages:
- 75% Baglung Nepal Line B: The climate-adapted traits stay dominant
- 25% Ultra Early Love: Enough genetic influence for reliable early flowering
- Hybrid vigor from Baglung Love Rush F1: Vitality and growth power are preserved
- Reduced phenotype variation: More homogeneous offspring than Baglung Love Rush F2, since this is a backcross onto the mother of that hybrid
- Reinforcement of desired traits: Early maturity + climate resistance are brought together
Growth & Structure
- Plant height: 3-4 meters outdoor
- Structure: Sativa-dominant with good lateral branching
- Bud structure: Moderately compact sativa buds with good resin production
- Color development: Characteristic pink-to-violet hues at cooler night temperatures (Baglung trait)
- Foliage: Narrow sativa leaves with robust texture
Aroma Profile & Character
The aroma profile of TouchMa UEL is a fascinating fusion of both parent lines:
- Primary: Fruity-berry notes with bubblegum character (Baglung Nepal dominant)
- Secondary: Earthy, hashy undertones (Himalayan heritage)
- Tertiary: Subtle woody and pinene notes (UEL influence)
The character is clearly sativa-dominant – typical of classic Himalayan landraces with their lively, clear-headed nature.
Cultivation
Important Germination Notice – Please Read Carefully
Our seeds are extremely light-sensitive. We therefore strongly recommend germinating them exclusively under the natural light cycle. Even if your fingers are itching to get started in spring – be patient and don’t start the seeds before early May.
For germination, we recommend the following methods:
- Direct sowing: Sow directly at the final outdoor location
- Small greenhouse propagation: On a windowsill (using natural daylight!) or sheltered outdoors
Why Not Indoor Pre-Growing Under Artificial Light?
We strongly advise against any indoor pre-growing under artificial light. The reason lies in the high light sensitivity of our genetics:
- Indoor, seedlings are typically lit on an 18- to 20-hour light cycle
- The natural light cycle, however, has not yet reached its maximum in spring – outdoors, 18 to 20 hours of daylight are never reached
- When plants are moved from the long artificial light cycle into the significantly shorter natural outdoor cycle, they respond to this abrupt shortening by forming flowering hormones
Important to understand: This reaction is not an indication of semi-autoflowering or autoflowering genetics, nor of any such introgression – it is simply the result of the pronounced light sensitivity of our lines. This very sensitivity is the actual goal outdoors: shortly after the longest days of the year (summer solstice), the plants reliably respond to the decreasing day length and initiate flowering.
A plant that already shows flowers in spring, however, will not properly recover from this stress and will stay small – effectively wiping out the entire yield.
If the seeds are instead germinated consistently under the natural light cycle, they develop into vigorous outdoor plants that, with ideal care, easily reach 2 meters – more likely 3 to 4 meters – in height, provided nothing artificially holds them back.
Flowering Time & Harvest
- Flowering time: 60-70 days (slightly faster than pure Baglung thanks to UEL)
- Outdoor harvest: Early to mid-September
- Flowering initiation: Reliable and early (UEL trait reinforced by the backcross)
Climate Suitability
TouchMa UEL was developed specifically for the German and Central European outdoor climate:
- Cold-tolerant: Handles cool September nights without issue
- Mold-resistant: Robust bud structure for damp conditions
- Weather-independent: Reliable flowering initiation even in suboptimal light conditions
- Guaranteed finish: Safe harvest before the October frosts
Growing Tips
- Light requirement: Full sun, at least 6 hours of direct sunlight
- Soil: Well-draining, nutrient-rich – Himalayan genetics appreciate organic fertilization
- Water: Regular, but not excessive – good drought tolerance
- Training: Responds well to topping and LST for better light distribution
- Nutrients: Medium to high demand during flowering
- Indoor vs. outdoor: This strain was bred and selected exclusively for outdoor cultivation. Indoor growing is possible but not recommended!
Genetic Traits & Stability
As a backcross onto a proven keeper female, TouchMa UEL shows good homogeneity with some interesting variations:
- Stability: Higher than an F2, since it’s a backcross onto a proven phenotype
- Phenotype range: 2-3 main phenotypes to be expected
- Shared traits: Early maturity, climate resistance, sativa dominance run throughout
- Variations: Slight differences in plant height, color intensity, and aroma expression
Expected Phenotypes
- Phenotype 1 (60%): Strongly Baglung-dominant – compact structure, intense colors, pronounced berry notes
- Phenotype 2 (30%): Balanced – slightly taller growth, well-rounded aroma profile, faster maturity
- Phenotype 3 (10%): UEL-influenced – more compact, even earlier flowering, subtler colors
